As a painter working at Grays Wharf studios in Penryn, I like to work both traditionally and digitally. My figurative pictures are mainly inspired by stories about people and I currently have a particular interest in portraying the subtle sense of intrusion that that we are subjected to through surveillance, even in the most remote of places.  

 

My stylised landscape paintings of Cornwall sometimes reflect my original training and subsequent practice as a textile designer as I look for interesting patterns to describe.  

 

As an animation background artist, working freelance for several London animation studios on various animated television series, films and commercials, I was required to switch between many different production styles and it is this versatility with painting mediums and a passion for design and storytelling that informs my role as part-time Senior Lecturer at Falmouth University on BA Animation.
